It’s the most wonderful time of the year! And it’s a great time for dressing up our little cuties and letting them loose on gifts under the tree.
The Christmas season brings with it colder weather, holiday parties and nights snuggled up waiting for Santa. If you’re looking to deck out your littles in holiday style, Moonbun has you covered with Christmas outfits for boys and girls.
For the Girls
Dress your baby girl in some of our favourite holiday looks, like this festive Frilly Plaid Romper. The classic green and red plaid pattern bring Christmas with her everywhere she goes!
If you and your little lady are heading out to holiday parties this year, the fun starts at dress-up time! From cosy winter sweater dresses to frilly Christmas princess looks, the options are endless... and endlessly ADORABLE. Some of my favourite Christmas dresses this season are this warm sweater dress in the festive red colour. The white furry pompoms will have her fitting right in with Santa, so a great choice for those pictures with the main man himself. Another dress that is sure to be a hit this year is this pretty velvet tutu dress in rich burgundy-red - classic style on the top, fun and frilly on the bottom!
For the Fellas
Don’t worry - we haven’t forgotten about the boys! Seeing little guys dressed up in mini versions of adult clothing like suits and ties is maybe one of the cutest things in the world, any time of year. The holiday season is an opportunity to pull out some of those little vests and jaunty bow ties for your little gentleman to be party- and picture-ready. Dress him up for holiday get-togethers in this classic shirt and pants set (a toddler version of “business casual).
Not every holiday occasion is reason to dress up, sometimes we all just want to be comfy. While we can’t really get away with rocking our sweats and onesies outside the house as adults, kids sure can. For a casual night, your little guy can be cosy and still festive in plaid and patterned outfits. We love this red and black plaid set with a moose shape that really says “Merry Christ-moose!”
Both boys and girls love Christmas jammies and Moonbun has a selection of unisex one and two-piece pajamas perfect for the winter season. One-piece options are great during the chillier months because they provide extra coverage and warmth so you don’t have to worry about shirts riding up or pants slipping down. This one-piece Premium Warm Winter Suit comes in multiple colours and patterns, has a comfy warm hood and cute animal ears.
We know not everyone will spend Christmas snowed in like my family will, so there are also lots of cute lighter weight options too. This deer print onesie is perfect for boys and girls in neutral colours and a festive holiday print that says happy holidays, even if your Christmas is more green or sandy than white.
Another trend that multiplies the cuteness is matching outfits for all the kids in the family, from infants to big kids. If mom and dad want to get involved too, there are matching outfits for the whole family! Try these matching Christmas-patterned outfits! Big sister can wear a fun dress while baby can rock the romper version. Both bring holiday joy with a pattern featuring reindeer, candy canes, ornaments, and wreaths and a bold red complimenting skirt and bottom.
One of my favourite things about kids at Christmas time is how easy they are to get gifts for. While it can take hours of mall-walking and online browsing to try to come up with something for your Dad that isn’t socks and a golf shirt, little kids are a cinch. They don’t care how much things cost, what store you buy from, and most of them can get excited over any gift (just think of all the videos of kids enjoying the box a toy came in more than the box itself).
If you’re looking for gifts of the non-clothing variety, check out our blog post on the top toys for kids to see my top tips for toys for infants, toddlers, and more.
Another thing I love to shop for is stocking stuffers! Not only were stockings my favourite thing when I was a kid, but they are also fun to shop for as an adult. From chocolates to accessories, soaps to stickers, a stocking is a little treasure chest of treats. Moonbun offers some really cute, ‘stuffable’ accessories that are a perfect addition to your stocking for a baby or toddler. You can check out all the accessories, but a couple of my favourites are these funny anti-slip ankle socks and this crochet Camile headband.
Gifts for Baby’s First Christmas
Baby’s first Christmas is an exciting time for all families and there are a few classic items that make the rounds - ornaments marking the occasion, onesies and accessories proclaiming it, engraved picture frames. For something a little different and special, give the gift of making their own keepsake with the Make a Memory Hand and Footprint kit. The ink-less design means you get the keepsake without the mess.
For a hand-made feel without watching a thousand hours of YouTube to learn how to crochet (why does it look so easy and yet everything I make turns into a collection of knotted yarn and frustration?), choose knit sweaters, bonnets and blankets. A well-made knit item is often kept in families for years and we won’t tell that you didn’t make it yourself. This snuggly bunny knit sleeping bag is perfect for newborns and infants celebrating their first Christmas (even if they sleep through the whole thing).
